Hi, Hadis here,

I found it very interesting to fill an Sketchbook I mean a watercolor folio with animals in watercolor.  It feels more goal oriented in learning, also at the end we have a folio like a scientist, I mean zoologist.

First is this tutorial , (to see the video you should scroll down after clicking at top a login page might appear, but if you scroll it down, you can watch the video intro without entering any info). The tutorial by Carrie McKenzie, she use Wet-on-Dry technique. She also use vibrant colors (look the video she use purple, pink .. ). (Not related to topic by her voice made me to feel back to  the pleasant time when I was learning English by listening to English learning book: Look, Listen and Learn )

Second one is by Jane Davis, here. I found she paint animals a lot. She said she is a self taught watercolor artist. What she draw seems to be complex, but that just what it seems, she says it is too easy technique to learn and draw the elephant.

Woho, this one, the third one is really different. She paint layer by later with different colors, In fact this painting is not realistic, I call it expressive or may be we can call it is somewhat close to impressionist. I myself love colorful painting, they feel modern, and fashionable.

If you like the feeling of traveling, or imagine you are traveling, I recommend this one, here, by Will Elliston. He is an artist and I found he draws monuments, landscapes and also elephants, that is why I said it gives me a feelings of like a traveler. It is fun.

I found this one, a little bit different: Elephant is doing an action, since I had  studies animation this one caught my attention very quickly.
->  Sarah Gardner, Painting a Playful Elephant With Mark Making and Watercolors, see intro

And a fun fact, they say Elephants has very good memories, so may be get sad.

Another fun fact: my favorite animation in childhood was Dumbo, which years later they made a 3D version of it too. it as about a baby elephant who could fly with her ears.

If any of these style caught your eyes, all of them (and much more animal watercolor classes) are inside Skillshare, and you can try free for some weeks with my link🎨
