Hello! Hello, Hadis here,
Have you worked with acrylic, watercolor, guache, colored pencil? well all are lovely.. But here what I have discovered, a specific medium that definitly makes our work different from any printed works, and it gives VOLUME to our work. drumroll please: its name is texture!
Yes, I love this medium for painting, we can buy it or even make it (you should be careful in recipe to make a texture paste that does not crack after drying, it needs some tries).
Then after having paste, we mix it with acrylic paint and the magic start, we paint with palette knife and soften it with brush, this material is widely used today, because many abstract painting and wall art are made with texture and nowadays people order modern wall art a lot.
Here is some tutorials I have gathered to work with texture:
1️⃣
First is this tutorial , (to see the video you should scroll down after clicking at top a login page might appear, but if you scroll it down, you can watch the video intro without entering any info). In this class, we use a canvas and then we make form on it using a fabric that is mixed with water and wood glue, after it is dried, then we add texture over it, and color it with acrylic, colors like white and gold gives it a bridal effect.

In this class, the wall art we learned in class 1, we learned some mixed media techniques by applying that to the wall art. 1) glitter technique: we used glue and then glitter over it. 2)we used gold adhesive then used gold leaf, to add mirror like touches of glue. 3. We learned how to make shapes like fishes over a canvas using texture paste and brush.
